Description

Course ID 56165
This workshop will introduce participants to the philosophy and practices developed at the Prospect School and Center. In particular, you will look at the practices of collecting children’s work over time and learning from it using a process called the Description of Children’s Work. You will use Prospect’s Archive of Children’s Work, a unique resource to look closely and non-judgementally at works made by one child. Then you will consider, together, how this process illuminates what authentic work is for young children and how observing this work informs EC teaching practice and provides guidance towards what classrooms should be.
