Description
The Child Development Associate (CDA) is a nationally recognized early childhood program credential that is administered by the Council for Professional Recognition (The Council). CDA candidates are required to demonstrate the ability the meet competency standards as set forth by The Council to support the developmental growth of young children and how children are best understood and supported in the context of family, culture, community and society. Participants will receive the first 60 hours towards the required 120 hours of professional early childhood education training, which address each of the eight CDA Subject Areas. Participants will also receive training to write the first two CDA Competency Standards, and the supporting Resource Collection items that are also a part of the CDA Professional Portfolio. This training is for all individuals who desire to increase their knowledge of how children learn and grow while working towards a nationally recognized early childhood credential.
